Often, people lose sight of the fact that they have choices in the way they live their lives and feel trapped in repetitive, destructive patterns. My work with individuals is informed by both my life and work experiences and my extensive education and training. I bring warmth, compassion and a sense of humor to the table, and work with my clients in a collaborative non-judgmental environment.

I am a licensed, clinical social worker and a certified psychoanalyst and I have studied various modalities of couples therapy. My work is focused on the material that is presented today by my clients and together we work to resolve ineffective repetitive patterns in your life and relationships.

Entering therapy is a courageous but also an exciting step. I have advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and I am a certified EMDR therapist specializing in PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder), and developmental trauma. I work with depression, anxiety, performance anxiety, marital and parenting concerns and self esteem issues. I work with adults and adolescents and like to integrate EMDR with more traditional psychoanalytic psychotherapy. It is very effective.
I am a capable, experienced psychotherapist who believes therapy to be a collaborative effort, that can lead to a more compassionate self view and to obtaining more enjoyment out of yourself, your loved ones, and life.
Prior to becoming a therapist I was trained as a performance artist with an extensive background in dance and experimental, physical theatre. I have a special fondness for working through a full range of performance issues and engaging clients in their own creative healing process.
