Stephanie Leaf, P.T, D.P.T
Stephanie received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the State University of Buffalo, and has completed her Post-Professional Doctorate degree with a specialization in Manual Orthopedics from Touro College of Health Sciences. She graduated with cum laude honors from both Universities and holds certifications in Pilates (CPI), Ergonomics (CES).
Philosophy:-
NEW LEAF Physical Therapy is a complete wellness environment dedicated to treating the entire body as a whole, and you as an individual. We use breakthrough osteopathic and holistic medical therapies to bring clients total body health, recovery and tools for prevention.
All Evaluations and Treatments are individualized and personalized with your physical therapist for 45 minutes to one hour.
How we diagnose what it is, where it comes from, what can be done with therapy and with everyday life to make it better:
A physical therapist gets to know you and your body by taking the time to talk to you and getting to know your routines. Then through observation and movement tests we are able to understand your functional patterns and how your body responds to daily forces, recreational activities and rest. The therapist also assesses your strength, and flexibility and observes your postures in all positions. Our practitioners use their hands (among other tools) to assess and treat clients giving the body an opportunity to heal itself.
We believe you can rewire your brain with structure and routine. The key is to show up…. Once you are there you will perform something. The issue is that it’s tough to keep up the motivation to exercise and focus on ourselves when life is too crowded with obligations and stress or emotionally we are not stable. Therefore we need to rely on structure more than motivation. Carve out time. Sedentary lifestyles drain our mental, emotional, and physical health. NEW LEAF physical therapy want to help you break free and create new healthier lifestyles.
