For Children:-
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that children have an initial
consultation with the orthodontist by the age of 7. A timely examination may reveal habits or jaw growth abnormalities that are best corrected during the critical growing years.
When treatment is begun early, the orthodontist can guide the growth of the jaws and the incoming permanent teeth. As a result, early treatment can achieve better fit of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for the permanent teeth thereby reducing the likelihood of impacted teeth, and correct harmful oral habits that can permanently alter facial growth. In other words, early treatment can simplify later treatment.
For Adults
Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age and we find that our adult clients especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. Today one of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21. Fortunately we have many invisible and cosmetic options to consider.
Emergencies:-
True orthodontic emergencies are very rare, but when they do occur we are available to you. As a general rule, you should call the office when you experience severe pain or when you have a painful appliance problem that you can't take care of yourself. We'll be able to schedule an appointment to resolve the problem.
