DAG MEDIA ADDS NEW AGENCY OFFICES AND EXPANDS SALES FORCE TO INCREASE NEWYELLOW SALES

KEW GARDENS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1999--DAG Media Inc. (Nasdaq: DAGM), a major independent yellow page publisher, Thursday announced that two new sales agency offices are being added, and it is training approximately 30 new sales representatives exclusively focused on increasing sales for NewYellow.

NewYellow is a general interest yellow page directory which will compete with the Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages for advertisers in the New York metropolitan market. "DAG Media's mission, and the focus of its business plan, is to challenge Bell Atlantic's dominant position in this market," said Assaf Ran, the company's president & chief executive officer. The metropolitan New York market currently accounts for more than $300 million in yellow page advertising annually, he noted. "Our pricing strategies and highly personalized service are attracting new as well as existing advertisers from our other directories," Ran continued. "The initial response to NewYellow from both sectors has been encouraging."

NewYellow advertising sells for a third of the page rates currently being charged by Bell Atlantic, and is supported by programs that offer market enhancements such as online advertising, participation in the company's referral services and consumer discount products. "Our lower rates are attracting many businesses that until now were unable to afford Bell Atlantic advertising rates," said the CEO, who indicated DAG Media plans to distribute approximately 900,000 copies of NewYellow.

DAG Media publishes and distributes yellow page directories in print and on the World Wide Web. It also operates a portal Web site on the Internet at www.porty.com.
