H.E. Woolsey Corporation began as a modest company in 1956 in Culver City. Born during the early housing boom of the 1960's it soon became a notable construction company known as Post Construction Company. The original location is where the Fox Hills Mall is now located near the famous steak house "George Petrellis Steak House".
Post Construction Company became H. E. Woolsey Corporation in 1971 and was named after its founder Harvey E. Woolsey a successful Architect, Contractor, Engineer, and Real Estate Broker. During the 40 years of business, many notable Los Angeles projects were either built or remodeled by H. E. Woolsey Corporation. Mount Olympus located north of Sunset in Hollywood; Main Street Medical Building in Venice; and the Waldorf Historian on Venice Beach; Multipurpose Recreational Faculty City of El Monte; Century Veterinary Group Los Angeles; Frito Lay Factory Los Angeles, and the Capone Residence Los Angeles; are to name a few.
Our Vision here at H. E. Woolsey Corporation is to provide sustainability to all our Projects no matter the size. Having done projects in Brasil, where sustainability is even a greater issue then in the United States, we have gained a more global understanding concerning the need for Green Design in Architecture.
